Painting Crew Atlanta paints interiors, exteriors, cabinets, decks and fences for homeowners and small commercial properties in Atlanta and the east metro. Calls are answered 24/7, a painter walks the job with you, and the written quote lists the prep, the products and the coats before work is scheduled.
Start with the surface
Inside the house or outside it?
The prep is different enough that it pays to say which side you mean when you call.

Interior painting
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors in occupied homes, with furniture covered, floors protected and rooms put back each evening. Cabinets and drywall repair sit on this side too.

Exterior painting
Siding, brick, stucco, trim, porches, decks and fences, washed and primed properly so the coating survives Georgia humidity and pollen. Rotted boards get replaced first, not painted over.

Atlanta conditions
Why paint fails faster here, and what we do about it
Atlanta's humid subtropical climate is hard on coatings. Summers are hot and wet with afternoon thunderstorms, winters swing between mild days and freezing rain, and every spring a pine and oak pollen season leaves a yellow film on siding, decks and fences. Paint over that film peels within a year or two.
So the schedule matters as much as the product. Exterior work sits best in the April to June and September to November windows, and after pollen season siding is washed and left two dry days before primer.
The housing stock is just as mixed. Grant Park and Ormewood Park carry Victorian cottages and 1920s Craftsman bungalows under layers of old paint, while the 1990s and 2000s subdivisions toward Loganville were built with hardboard siding that fails from the inside once water gets behind a hairline crack. Two different prep jobs.

How a job runs
From the first call to the last touch-up
Seven steps, the same on a single bedroom or a two-story exterior. Each one builds on the last, the way coats do.
- 1
Call, any hour
Describe the job and the age of the house; we set a walk-through.
- 2
Walk-through and written quote
A painter checks every surface for rot, moisture and failing caulk, then writes up prep, products, coats and price.
- 3
Color and sheen decisions
Samples go on the wall in your light, and sheen is set per surface.
- 4
Protection and prep
Floors, furniture, plants and windows covered; scraping, caulking, patching and priming come before any finish coat.
- 5
Two finish coats
Sprayed and back-brushed siding, rolled walls, brushed trim and enamel on doors.
- 6
Daily cleanup
Interiors are reset each evening; exteriors are walked daily for drips and misses.
- 7
Final walk and touch-ups
You walk the job with the crew lead in daylight. Anything you point at gets touched up before the last invoice.

FAQ

Yes. Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets inside; siding, brick, stucco, trim, porches, decks and fences outside.
Mostly Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, with specialty primers from Kilz and Zinsser, stains from Cabot and Ready Seal, and Rust-Oleum on metal.
We replace rotted trim, fascia, sills and hardboard panels as part of the exterior job, listed as its own line on the quote.
