DeKalb County, GA
DeKalb County house painting for ranch homes, bungalows and everything between
Much of DeKalb was built in one long wave of brick and frame ranch houses. They paint well, but their brick, carports and long trim runs call for a different plan than an intown bungalow.

Painting Crew Atlanta paints homes and small buildings across DeKalb County, from Decatur and Druid Hills to Tucker, Stone Mountain, Lilburn's DeKalb edge, Brookhaven and Chamblee. Much of the county's housing is mid-century ranch homes, so brick painting and limewash, long fascia and soffit runs, popcorn ceilings and dated kitchens come up often alongside ordinary repaints.

What DeKalb's ranch house boom means for paint
DeKalb County saw a ranch house boom in nearly every part of the county through the mid- to late-20th century. One of Georgia's earliest ranch houses was built in 1947 in the Parkwood neighborhood near Decatur, and Belvedere Park is a whole planned neighborhood of typical Georgia ranches.
Those houses share the same painting questions: whether to paint or limewash the brick, how to handle long runs of fascia and soffit under a low roof, what to do with carport ceilings and posts, and whether the original popcorn ceilings come down before the interior is repainted. Older pockets such as Druid Hills and Decatur add Craftsman and Tudor trim to the mix.
Inside, many DeKalb ranches still have their original layouts: a long hall, small bedrooms and a kitchen that was updated once in the 1990s. That makes whole-house interior repaints efficient, since rooms are similar in size, and it is why cabinet painting is such a common add-on here. Where paneling or stained trim survives in a den, we can refinish it rather than paint over it.
